Well,

I must say, Ive been rather lazy in the "updating my website" side of things... but I have actually been doing some art for once! Yes, you all can wipe that shocked expression from your face.. .it seems the little "block" has subsided somewhat... I did a painting last week. It was rather tedious, but it turned out better than I hoped it would, thus, making me feel better about having an art show that opens tomorrow night... I would've mentioned it here sooner, but I only found out about it recently myself, like, two weeks ago! So, I havent been able to talk it up very much. Its not as big as my last one, it only runs over the long weekend, and its at The Old Court house, Wollongong. It's mainly just a good way to try to sell some art, so fingers crossed, some rich folk drop by and wish to own one of my artworks...

I'm going to take a few pics and do a little feature like with the shift exhibition. Hope it goes well!!

 I'll be back to some more blogging and stuff ater my exhibition closes...

Hello there...

Well, i must say I have been rather neglecting my website... so I hope people actually don't miss my ramblings... But, I doubt it... haha

But anyways, I thought I'd write one just to pass the time... Lets see, what have I been up to in recent times?... Well, I have been to Sydney. I took a few photos... not very many, the last time i was there it was pouring rain. so, it was hard to take many without the worry of rain destroying my (yes I know its crap) camera. so I took a few of my friends walking down the rainy streets, dressed in black. they come out really awesome... I  think i have a few pics Ive forgotten to add... I'll have a search around on some random disk for them...

SO, I actually started a new drawing today! It doesn't look like much as yet, but it shall get there. It just gonna take a while. Damn my "overly detailed" pencil work...Hope it turns out...  

I don't have much else to say.. .so I'm off...

hey hey,

well, i haven't been up to much. Ive been pretty much recovering. i haven't been well lately. but, i feel heaps better today. anyways, yesterday, i had to get my art from the gallery. it was kinda sad, but it felt good to get my drawings back. i hadn't seen them for ages... and Louise, the curator from the gallery gave me a whole bunch of cardboard mounts for framing. which was great. it means the cost of framing for me is now a great deal cheaper.

Soon, I'm gonna post some of the photos I took of Louie a few weeks back. when i get around to it. i have a fair few photos. and they came out pretty good. so keep an eye on the photography section!

hey,

lately, i have began to start things then never get back into finishing them. for example: I have started a painting, it is now on my easel, half finished with dried up paint on the palette. I have started a drawing, it is sitting in my lounge room surrounded by pencils. I took photos of my friend Louie and have only edited 12 of them. I was meant to be in a play and I turned it down. (well, there was a reason for that, I cant get to the theatre)

I don't quite know why I've turned into the procrastinating artist all of a sudden. perhaps it has something to do with the fact that, now that I have no real reason to have things done, i just don't see the point. That is an odd thing for me, seeing as i have done art for many years without any structure or deadline, and structure and deadlines really stress me out. its kinda like a catch 22. I cant create under those circumstances and now i cant create unless i have a deadline i can strive for. Maybe the answer is as simple as setting a goal for myself. what that could be is any ones guess. But, i do think this is just a small hiccup in the creative flow that has been so steady for a while now.

anyways, on another note, it is the final week of my exhibition, the 29th is the last day and then i can take my art back. its a shame i didn't have any sales, but it's not a big deal. the main thing was having my art out there, money is just money and it goes away. So, I'd rather have my drawings back... but, if there's anyone interested in buying them... i wont say no... anyone wanna buy some art?

hello everyone...

Well, I have not been up to much, what else is new. I've just been hanging around the house mostly, trying to quell my boredom, but yesterday I had a change of pace when I had my first band practice! My friend Siobhan asked me a while ago if I'd be interested in being in a band with her. I thought it was an awesome idea, so, I asked my brother Jay if he would be interested as well. So, me and my brother are playing guitar together. He is a brilliant guitarist, so, if I'm shit, he can mask my bad playing and do all the complicated parts.

So, yesterday we went to the Wollongong youth centre and started playing (minus the bassist) and i must admit we actually sounded really good! I'm hoping the drummer also wants to join because he was really quite good! and I hope we can play together again really soon.

some site news, I've added a few photos. Me and my friend Broc went out to the lake near my house and did a spot of photography. I didn't get a whole lot of photos worth putting in here but, I got a few. so check them out if you want!

Well, hi there...

I found out why Ive been so sluggish lately. I was coming down with a cold. it wasn't a bad one, but it was enough to have me lay on the couch watching TV all day. ahhhh... daytime TV, what a wonderful selection. i mean, i have satellite TV and even still, the daytime selection is dire. But, i guess, all that relaxing made me recover quicker. i still have it now, but my sore throat has subsided. its all just sneezing and runny nose now. which, is just annoying, not so bad as I have to stay home.

I went to the shops today. It was cold, but it felt good to be out of the house. I must admit I was getting a little stir-crazy. So, I went down the road and got some healthy food. I think maybe, if i eat healthier and cut down on my drinking, I'll feel a whole lot better... 

Anyways... I wrote a new poem, "lost girl" check it out and let me know if you like it! but, apart form that, there are no new things on the site...  hopefully there will be a new painting. I'm thinking about starting a painting soon!

Well, I have been up to nothing much at all on the art front... I have a whole bunch of ideas and I plan them all out... then, I just cant get motivated to do any art. Its rather annoying. Actually, I have lost motivation to do anything! Im not entirely sure why. Maybe my depression is coming back. I really hope not!

Maybe Im just exhausted from all the exhibition stuff...

But, anyway.. .I really dont have much to say, seeing that I have been doing NOTHING! hahaha...

Well, the opening was on Friday night, and it went REALLY well... Everyone came, despite the cold, and I got a lot of positive feedback from many people. That was a relief, I was starting to get all nervous and thought nobody would like my stuff. But, I guess everyone is their own worst critic, huh. It was also really cool to see all my family and friends under one roof. The problem with this is, I seem to know a lot of people and it was quite difficult to chat to everyone. So, I really hope i didn't neglect anyone and if I did, feel free to ring me up and yell at me! haha. I did my best at being the "social butterfly" and its not one of my talents. So, my apologies to anyone who got left out.

There were a few photos taken and I've since added them to the artists and exhibitions page. So check them out when you get a chance. Oh, and don't forget to sign my guestbook. I always enjoy reading every one's comments.

Anyway, I don't have a huge amount to go on about, so I'll leave it at that...

Well, hello!

Today I hung my art! its safe in the gallery and now I'm just waiting for Friday night... it was actually kinda fun to hang the show... I hid the fact that I had NO idea what I was doing... for a while... I finally said "please help me, i don't know what I'm doing! aaaargh!" luckily I had help from the other artists and the curator. I was the only person there who hadn't done anything like this before.

Finally I got everything hung and everyone had fun. I got to see the zine that we made, and when I figure out the scanner.. I'll try to scan it in... but, I'm not making any promises on that.. hahaha it seems like a tedious task... hahaha

The newspapers came today, so I'm gonna be in the newspaper as well! YAY!! how exciting! I'm gonna have to remember to buy it! and rescue the free one from the rain... I don't want it to get all wet! well, if its raining... the weather has been very moody lately... rainy, then sunny, then windy, then rainy and back to sunny...

anyways.. I took a few pics today and have added them to the "artists and exhibitions" page... so, check it out!

well, hello there!

today was otherwise a boring day... but I woke to the sound of my phone beeping. It was my good friend Broc telling me he got our tickets to see Tori Amos in september!! I sprung out of bed and did a silly dance of excitement! I cant tell you how exciting it is! Now, I just have to save up money to pay broc back and then save money for when Bjork comes... coz I intend on seeing that concert too!

I didnt do much else today... I pretty much just stayed on the net and gave my dog a bath. the poor little thing, it was too cold for a bath and she looked so sad about the whole thing i had to take pictures! hahaha

but, after that she seemed all clean and nice and she is currently sleeping on the bed behind me, snoring. she is so cute!!

Anyway.. i have little else to report, except tomorrow im hanging my show and the newspaper is going to be there! im going to take some photos and put them in the "artists and exhibitions" section...
